Sebastian Vettel
Sebastian Vettel said sayonara to the world of F1 racing at the end of the 2022 campaign. Still, it has recently come out that, he is considering returning to competitive racing by participating in the historic 24 hrs Le Mans race. The event has been around since the 1920s, and Vettel wants to test his mettle in it.
Sebastian Vettel is easily one of the most prolific drivers that F1 has ever seen, and, for it, is respected all over the globe. Winning four F1 Championships in consecutive years is not everybody’s cup of tea, and considering his caliber, no one is going to doubt him if he decides to race in the Le Mans event.
It is believed that Vettel followed this year’s Le Mans race with a lot of interest and has developed a soft spot in his heart for the historic event. He feels that he can compete in the event next year to make a return to competitive racing. This is good news for the fans of Vettel all over the globe.
Moreover, while this has come out, it has also recently been made known that Sebastian Vettel would be seen driving his iconic RB7 later in the year at Nurburgring. Vettel fans will finally see him do his thing again in past F1 machinery. Moreover, the RB7 is the car in which he won the 2011 F1 World Championship.
Sebastian Vettel has not ruled out an F1 comeback
While Sebastian Vettel is pondering over the idea of competing in the 24hrs Le Mans, he has previously indicated that he is not ruling out a potential comeback to the pinnacle of motor racing. “Everything is possible at the moment. It can go in all different possible directions. It’s also possible that in six months I’ll go mad, I can’t stand it on the couch any longer and want to drive again.”
“But it can also be that my passion turns in a completely different direction and my ambition can bundle all my experiences into another project.” Vettel is keeping all his options open for now and wants to see how he handles being away from racing. He feels while F1 is an option, there is a possibility that he could try his hands at something new.
Vettel is the kind of driver that not many can, so no to, and in case he does decide to make a comeback to F1, most of the teams would welcome him back with open arms. He is still fast and because of his 2022 contribution, Aston Martin was able to develop a strong car for the ongoing campaign.
