The 33-year-old Mexican driver, Sergio Perez has been facing a massive performance slump over the past few race weekends. Despite winning two races in the season, the Mexican has been unable to emerge victorious in a race for the past 13 races. The late-season races aren’t favorable for Perez as the races constitute a Sprint weekend. Sergio Perez has often talked about winning the race on his home soil in Mexico.

Checo has coined the Mexican GP as his favorite race on multiple occasions. He talked about his home race and mentioned that he would be looking to get the most out of the car this weekend. Perez also talked about the continuous support and attention from the team in the paddock and fans around the circuit.

If there is a weekend where you want to be perfect, maximize the result and want to win, that's the one with the home GP. The car is the same as always and in the paddock I will have a lot of support and attention.
