The Dutch GP at Zandvoort marks the commencement of Formula 1 2023 season after the summer break. The fans are excited, teams prepared and drivers focused. The qualifying was competitive and Max Verstappen emerged with the pole position, followed by Norris. The race was intense and of course Max Verstappen won it.

Fans had really high expectations from McLaren considering their upgrades and the progress they made in the last few races. Unfortunately, inspite of Lando Norris starting 2nd he came 7th with his teammate Oscar Piastri coming 9th. William’s Alex Albon was the underdog in this race and finished at an unexpected 8th.

Ferrai and especially Charles Leclerc had a really disappointing race day. Ferrari was hoping for an improved performance but Leclerc crashed out of qualifying. Sainz qualified 6th and Leclerc will be starting in 9th. The little hope Ferrari had got dissolved when Leclerc also crashed out of the race and did not finish. With all the stress on the grid, a little fan meets Leclerc and gets overwhelmed. See the fan’s reaction on Twitter (Now X) to such an adorable moment.

Fans were stunned looked at the way Charles Leclerc handled his young fan who simply couldn’t hold back. They applauded how gentle he was with her. Others felt bad for the Monegasque driver who had a race to forget as he went on to retire. Fans stared that even Charles would need the same comforting that he gave.

While Charles Leclerc didn’t win the race and nor did he get to finish it, it’s clear that he won the heart of his fans after this incident. Meanwhile, Max Verstappen went on to steal the limelight at his home race as he went on to get his 9th consecutive win in F1 equalling Sebastian Vettel’s record. With the Italian GP taking place next, all eyes will be on Leclerc and the pressure will be on to bounce back from a weekend to forget for the Ferrari driver.
