“Sometimes the engine, sometimes Latifi,” Fred Vasseur mocks Nicolas Latifi in a hilarious statement

The F1 Team Principal press conference took place during the race weekend where Alfa Romeo team boss Fred Vasseur had also joined the lot. The highlight of the press conference was a statement which turned out to be the highlight of the session. Fred has always been a cheeky character in the F1 paddock and is always up to joke around hear and there.
A few months back, a video surfaced which was shot inside the Alfa Romeo hospitality showed that Vasseur was running behind Antonio Giovinazzi with a scissor in his hands and managed to cut a small piece of the Italian’s hair. Coming i to the Dutch GP weekend, Alfa Romeo will be looking to score points.
The team is placed 6th in the constructors championship and will be doing everything in their power to retain their position. Although it has become a bit difficult for for the team to score points since they have encountered a lot of bad luck in the likes of Valtteri Bottas and Zhou Guanyu.
Both the drivers have suffered a lot of DNF’s this season. During a lot of occasions, we have witnessed that Alfa Romeo had the pace to fight for points but terrible lick led to them not being up to the mark in terms of results. In the F1 team principal conference, Fred Vasseur went on to joke a bit about Williams driver Nicolas Latifi compromising their race. This will be in regards to last time out in Spa where Latifi punted Bottas and sent him into early retirement in the race.

“There’s no such thing as luck or bad luck with DNFs. Sometimes it was technical, sometimes the engine, sometimes Latifi,” He said jokingly.
Nicolas Latifi has gathered up a reputation of compromising his opponents races. Alfa Romeo Team Principal Fred Vasseur sent the crowd in laughter after his statement about the Canadian. Although it really makes you think if he deserves a place in F1. He has been making many mistakes and Spa was a testament to that.
