With the Austria-based Red Bull Racing team, Sergio Perez is feeling more at ease. The Mexican has adjusted to the RB18 and the team around him after a season and a half, and it’s quite evident at the moment.
“It always helps to stay longer with a team, then things go better. You have more confidence in the team, you become familiar with the team’s procedures and you know how the team works, how they think about strategy and how they see the bigger picture,” said Perez in a race conference ahead of the British Grand Prix at Silverstone.

Sergio Perez feels more at ease in Red Bull now

The Mexican is fully participating in the title chase as he is now ranked second in the drivers’ standings. Red Bull, though, has already given Perez team directives this year to keep up with teammate Max Verstappen.
Nonetheless, the driver made an impression with a victory in the Monaco Grand Prix at the Circuit de Monaco and his first pole position in the motorsport. He was the very first Mexican driver in Formula One history to win at Monaco.
“That is important as a team and that has helped me a lot. With the development direction of the car, the setup of my car and what I do,” concluded Perez. After the turmoil in 2021, the Red Bull driver is aiming for a successful outcome at Silverstone this weekend.
