The McLaren F1 team had one of its best weekends of the 2022 season at the Singapore Grand Prix, where at the end of the race, the papaya-colored team was able to leapfrog Alpine in the Constructors Championship.

However, Japan was the complete opposite of their outing at the Marina Bay Circuit, and after 18 rounds, the Woking-based team has again slipped to fifth in the Championship.

The in-form Alpine F1 team is currently sitting in fourth place with 143 points to its name whereas McLaren has only got 130 points to show for its efforts.
