“There will be no more races,” Stefano Domenicali seals the fate of the Russian GP in F1
Formula One sees no return of the Russian GP in the near future.
F1 CEO Stefano Domenicali
Stefano Domenicali, Formula 1 CEO, cuts all the bonds with the Russian Grand Prix. Formula 1 in the last few months has been very critical about the Human rights activities happening in their very own racing countries. With inclusion of Saudi Arabia and Qatar, there were a lot of people coming out being Human right activist upholding their banners to stop Formula 1 from racing here.
But Russia was the only country to have had a ban from the calendar after a war they started. Russia and Ukraine had political matters to solve from which Russia took hold of the land in Ukraine after the Moscow men were sent to invade the neighbours.
This act forced not only Formula 1 but all other sports to take strict actions against the Soviet Union banning them all around the world. F1 did it by banning a race and removing the Russian drivers from the grid-like Nikita Mazepin.
Stefano Domenicali, calls out his future plans on the Russian GP to stay the same.
I have always thought that we should never say never but in this case, I can promise with certainty that we will no longer negotiate with them. There will be no more races in Russia.Stefano Domenicali said.
Sochi leader counters Stefano Domenicali for his words
Alexey Titov, the organizer of the Russian GP, counters Domenicali for his first instance as an all-around ban for the Russian GP with nothing to do with the sports spirit. He, later on, brings his words to debt that Formula 1 still holds with the track and asks the CEO for a way out of it.
This debt exists, it is confirmed and our position on it is unchanged we expect a refund regardless of the current position of the FOM in relation to the conduct of competitions in the Russian Federation.said Alexey Titov.
Russian Grand Prix still provided the fans with a decent amount of racing, banning the race track still adds up on the economy of the country. But banning the drivers and workers all around the sports doesn’t make any sense with them having nothing to do with the political aspects of the world.
