“They would be ready for such a task,” Andreas Seidl amidst rumors of a potential alliance between Audi and Sauber
McLaren's CEO Zak Brown and Team Principal Andreas Seidl
Andreas Seidl feels there have been a lot of rumors recently after the Volkswagen group announced their entry into Formula One under Audi and Porsche. A strong rumor suggests that Red Bull and Porsche will be partnering up in Formula One from 2026. While Audi would be collaborating with McLaren.
Audi would have to bid for McLaren but they do not have the financial means to go forward with that deal and thus they are looking forward to making a collaboration with Sauber. While the future of Audi in Formula One is not yet decided, there are still a lot of contenders among which Audi might collaborate as Aston Martin is also interested.
According to Seidl, Audi is interested in McLaren but they are actually a much better fit for Sauber. Anything can happen from here on but one thing is sure, the German Brand is coming to Formula One.
