“This is Schumacher again,” David Coulthard compares Charles Leclerc to the Ferrari legend

After Charles Leclerc’s race wins and losses, legend David Coulthard points out that the Monégasque is still making a few mistakes.
The season start has been a grand opening for Ferrari after a very long time, where we saw Ferrari making an amazing 1-2 finish in the first race, with Charles Leclerc finishing on top. The next victory in Saudi Arabia was taken by Max Verstappen, and Australia was followed by Leclerc again.
Ahead of the Miami GP, racing legend David Coulthard told GPFans that he was amazed by his racing style in Australia, and compared his racing style to that of legendary Michael Schumacher. “After the performance in Melbourne, I was like ‘Wow! This is Schumacher again’ with the way Charles performed there.”
However, after the spin in the final stages of the Emilia Romagna Grand Prix, David Coulthard said that he is still making mistakes on the track; “…he still has an Achilles heel, he’s still making mistakes. Max has got rid of those unforced errors.
“Red Bull put Ferrari under pressure and he made the error, so that’s the chink, and those little chinks make you think twice.” quoted the Legend.

Max Verstappen on the other hand, managed to win the races that Charles couldn’t (Saudi Arabia and Imola), and in the other two, his Red Bull had early retirements due to reliability issues. During the Imola GP, the Ferrari of Charles Leclerc had a good battle with Max Verstappen, before he lost the position and later lost the podium because of pushing too hard on a chicane.
David Coulthard believes that Charles Leclerc has the title winning ability of Michael Schumacher

David Coulthard said that switching to the right tyres and keeping them on the window could play a major role in the success of front running teams.
As noticed in the earlier races, track temperatures play a major role in the proper utilization of tyres and pit strategies. Max Verstappen also mentioned this after yesterday’s qualifying session, where he qualified 3rd fastest after both the Ferraris.
Coulthard stated that Australia had slightly warmer tyre temperatures compared to Imola, in which Leclerc managed to gain a victory, and so will probably be the case with Miami, and he could gain success in this race as well.
Ahead of the race, the Ferrari of Charles Leclerc and Carlos Sainz form the front of the grid, followed up by the Red Bulls of Max Verstappen and Sergio Perez.
Charles Leclerc is also leading the championship with 86 points.
