Today marks 10 years since Michael Schumacher’s tragic skiing accident
Its been a decade since F1 Legend Michael Schumacher sustained a life-changing accident while skiing.

Formula 1 was taken aback after the news of the disastrous accident of the record-winning world champion Michael Schumacher came to light. The tragic skiing accident back in 2013 has forever changed the course of life for the F1 legend. The German driver is yet to recover from his accident.
Schumacher, the F1 legend was also a great skier. Today 10 years ago the ex-world champion met with a tragic accident while skiing. It was found that the German’s ski stick had struck a rock hidden by the snow, causing Schumacher to fall almost 3.5 meters head-first onto a boulder. Luckily, the legend was wearing a skiing helmet while skiing which reduced the impact to some extent.
This head-on collision split the helmet of the seven-time world champion into two pieces and put him into a coma. The impact was so significant that the German needed to be airlifted to a hospital in France, where he underwent two surgeries. The incident left him in a coma state for almost 250 days, after which he hasn’t fully recovered from even today.
After receiving his initial treatment in France, Schumacher was moved to a bigger facility in Grenoble. Following the treatment there, the 54-year-old was then shifted to his home country of Switzerland in 2014 where he has been continuing his recovery ever since. Some news about the legend’s recovery gives fans some hope to see the German fully recover and return to normalcy.
Recent news about Michael Schumacher’s recovery from the injuries
The Schumacher family has decided to keep the entire condition and recovery-process private. However, some people allowed to visit the Former world champion revealed some news about the recovering legend. Jean Todt, the Ferrari Team Principle during Michael Schumacher’s era spoke about the recent conditions of Schumacher.
Todt highlighted that he was simply not the same Michael that he used to be before the accident. His wife and children took care of him after the accident caused a severe change in him, leaving him paralyzed. Although Todt, out of respect did not delve into the exact details of the 91-time-race winner, The French appreciated the privilege of sharing moments with the F1 phenomenon Michael Schumacher.

As the horrific accident dates back to a decade, fans all around the world hope for a great recovery and comeback from the ex-world champion. The world of Formula 1 doesn’t feel the same without the vibrant presence of the great Michael Schumacher. Certainly, racing fans from across the globe are waiting to see Schumacher back in good health someday.
