“Tyler is a dynamic leader with integrity and diverse executive experience across multiple sports.  We are excited to promote him to President of the Grand Prix. I want to thank Richard for his hard work and leadership in the massive challenge of pulling off our inaugural event in such a tight timeframe. The first Formula One race weekend at the circuit was generally regarded as a triumph, despite obstacles like the track splitting up due to a construction mistake and complaints about the quality of the food served in the Paddock Club hospitality facilities.

Garfinkel’s initial goal was to turn a gain in Year 1, and he afterwards promised to enhance things for subsequent occasions. Despite drawing over 243,000 attendees over its three days, greater than expected costs resulted in a loss.

This week, the event organiser South Florida Motorsports released its impact assessment study for the 2022 race, claiming that it contributed approximately $350 million to the local economy. A total of $1,940 was spent by each guest to the event taking place. The majority of racegoers were from Canada, strongly followed by the United Kingdom, Mexico, Colombia, and Argentina.
