The Circuit of the Americas, in Austin, has been on the calendar since 2012 and with the help of this piece, we are going to try and dissect how much it would cost an F1 enthusiast to go and watch a race live at the iconic circuit.
It is well known in F1 that the spectator seats are spread throughout the track and the same is the case at COTA where the seats have been divided into various sections.
- 1. Main Grand Stand
The Main Grand Stand is the place to be if one wants to keep up with everything that is going on in the pitlane and usually the atmosphere is the best at this section of the track. However, the section also charges a lot of money to get a seat. It is very costly to get a seat on the main grandstand in COTA, and it costs a whopping $830.
2. Turn 1 and Turn 2 Grand Stand
At the start of the race, the bulk of the close-wheel action is seen at Turn 1 of the COTA track where all the cars are jockeying for positions and it makes it a great spot to view the race from. The Turn 1 grandstand is divided into three sections, upper, middle, and, lower and it costs $995 to get a seat on the upper level. Moreover, any exact info about the other two levels is not available.
When it comes to Turn 2, there are two levels and it costs $860 to get a seat on the upper level and $805 to secure a seat on the lower level.

While most of the close-wheel action between F1 cars is seen at Turn 1 and Turn 2 of the COTA circuit, turns like 4, 9, 12, and 15 have also seen their fair share of overtakes over the years.
- 3. Turn 4, 9, and, 12
These are the parts of the track where the F1 drivers are required to stay a bit cautious as the demands at Turn 4, 9, and, 12 are quite different. It’s a tricky part of the track and the ticket prices at these parts are usually set between $415 to $480.
4. Turn 15 Grand Stand
The ticket prices at the Turn 15 Grand Stand fluctuate a lot on yearly basis and it is very difficult to put a concrete figure on the ticket prices. However, what can be said for certain is the fact that it has got three sections, upper, lower, and, middle.
5. Turn 19 Bleachers
Turn 19 is the penultimate corner of the COTA circuit, and the upper-level seats cost $495 whereas the lower-level seats are a bit cheaper and are available for $415.
The hype around the United States Grand Prix is increasing year after year and considering the pace at which the sport is gaining fans there, it is not going to come as a huge surprise if the ticket prices at COTA increase during the upcoming years of the sport.
