“I started to invest in…,” Valtteri Bottas sheds light on his F1 retirement plans
Valtteri Bottas has stated working on things outside of F1 to have smooth transition when he decides to retire.

Valtteri Bottas, the Alfa Romeo F1 driver, has talked about what his life would look like after saying sayonara to the pinnacle of motor racing. Bottas believes that at his stage, it is important to have interests outside of F1 because it helps in having a smooth transition from racing to doing other things in life.
Valtteri Bottas has been in F1 for several years, and him being currently in his 30s; he is aware that he needs to have interests other than F1. Moreover, while stressing about it in detail, he recently said, “For me it’s important, I feel that when I come to a race weekend, I’m quite refreshed. In the last couple of days, I was working for my gin label and now I turn to racing and it’s cool, it’s fun. For me, it works.“
“Many times, people ask me ‘How do you have time for it?’ but there is, we have off weeks, and even if we have simulator days or sponsors days between the races, in the evenings we still have our personal time, so for me, it’s important to be able to switch focus to other things.” He further added, “I think that a few years ago I started to invest in many different things because it is important to have other things, other passions, to do after your career because if you drop out [of Formula 1] and you have nothing, you’ll feel quite hectic after being in such a hectic sport. So, for sure, that will be a good thing to have.”
Looking at the comments of the Finnish driver, it is clear that he has already started planning what he is going to do after F1. He ardently believes, that despite having an extremely tight schedule, he still finds to for himself, during which he prefers to pursue his interests outside of the pinnacle of motor racing so that he does not have to worry about how he would make ends meet when he retires from the sport. In a step in that direction, he has come up with his brand, which is called gin label.

As things stand, Valtteri Bottas is 33 years old and has still got quite a few years left in him. He is at the peak of his powers and is an out-and-out leader at the Hinwii-based Alfa Romeo F1 team. Moreover, he has also previously indicated that he wants to continue in F1 after the expiration of his current deal with the team.
Bottas has been making his trade at the pinnacle of motor racing for several years and is seen as an extremely fast racer. He has still got all the skills in his arsenal to become a nuisance for any driver on the current grid. He is an asset to any team, and looking at his age, he definitely has at least 3-4 years left in him, if not more.
