Daniel Ricciardo is all set for a roaring Formula 1 comeback at this week’s United States Grand Prix. While the hype around it has started to pick up a massive pace, Ricciardo has recently admitted that he would like to fight a Chihuahua. It is an indoor dog breed who are well-known all over the world for their feistiness.

Daniel Ricciardo injured his wrist at the Dutch GP weekend and has since been cheering AlphaTauri from the sidelines. He worked hard while away from the sport and was somewhat down in spirits. However, all that has changed with his F1 return just around the corner. Ricciardo is back to his lively best once again, and this is one of the reasons why he’s been all over the web ahead of this week’s race.

Ricciardo was recently seen attending a Red Bull event where he was asked what animal he would like to fight. As a response, he cheekily added,Like a Chihuahua.” He was then told that they are quite feisty, and after this, the 34-year-old added, “Yeah, true. I probably should have gone for like a lab, I don’t know I don’t want to fight a lab, though, they are beautiful.

Moreover, while discussing the sport he would like to become a pro in, he added, “My answer wouldn’t be curling but I had to say it. I feel like is it professional cleaning? Looks cool as well, umm, Ski jumping.” Looking at how enthusiastic he has sounded, it is quite clear that he is in a good frame of mind, and this will bode well for him, AlphaTauri, during the remaining 2023 F1 races.

Daniel Ricciardo will have several eyes on him during the remainder of 2023

While Daniel Ricciardo is in high spirits ahead of his much-awaited F1 return, he is going to have several eyes glued on him during the upcoming United States GP weekend and also during the remainder of the 2023 F1 season. Liam Lawson did a brilliant job in his absence, and considering this, Ricciardo’s AT04 exploits will be a fascinating watch.

Moreover, the remaining five campaign races also have the caliber to thrust him into a Red Bull F1 seat for next year. While he has signed a contract extension with AlphaTauri for 2024, this could get thrown out of the window if Christian Horner and Co. decide to give him the second seat at Red Bull instead of the out-of-form Sergio Perez.

A lot of shenanigans have gone on around the second Red Bull F1 seat in recent times. It has not remained a secret that if Perez is not able to finish the ongoing campaign in second place behind Max Verstappen, then he will most definitely get replaced by the former eight-time Grand Prix winner, Daniel Ricciardo for the 2024 campaign.
