WATCH: Daniel Ricciardo takes specially-abled kids on a supercar tour in Australia

The 2024 F1 season’s first race is just under a month away and the majority of the teams have already revealed their challengers for the season. Amidst these preparations, Daniel Ricciardo was spotted spending some time with specially-abled kids in Australia. The 8-time race winner surprised the kids with a memory of a lifetime.

Ricciardo alongside nonprofit organization Driven Project took on the task of spending some quality time with the specially-abled kids of the Perth Children’s Hospital. The 34-year-old was donning a simple outfit while spending time with the specially-abled kids. Additionally, the kids wore the Driven Project’s yellow-colored tops while they met their idol in Formula 1.

The children sat in multiple supercars alongside the Formula 1 veteran. Amongst these supercars were the Ferrari, Bugatti, Audi R8, and others. The kids asked their questions about the sport to the driver and Ricciardo patiently answered each and every question that the kids had. The fans’ hearts melted seeing the 34-year-old spend such an amazing time with the kids ahead of the 2024 season.

The major changes to VisaCashAppRB (previously AlphaTauri) have been finalized for the following season with the chassis and racing suit already revealed for the season. Hence, as the team prepares to race in the next season alongside Laurent Mekies as the new leader, Ricciardo is looking ahead to racing in the following season of Formula 1.

Ricciardo mentioned that he missed the feeling of driving in a Formula 1 car after such a long winter break. The Australian previously highlighted his dissatisfaction with the winter break after just returning to racing after a serious injury. Hence, these things gave Ricciardo the motivation to be the best version of himself down the season.

Additionally, VCARB has made great changes to the team ahead of the season and would provide intense excitement for the fans. Ricciardo and the crew at VCARB believe that the team is in the right direction in terms of performance down the season. Hence, the 2024 season would provide intense excitement to not only the fans but also the drivers as the 2025 season will contain multiple drivers’ lineup changes.
