The winter break for all drivers marks a great opportunity to spend some time with their loved ones and families, away from the F1 activities and developments. During the Christmas break, Frenchman Esteban Ocon enjoys the holidays by taking a vacation with his girlfriend Flavy Barla, as all the teams shut development.
Observers spotted the romantic couple in the snow at an undisclosed location during the winter break. Flavy Barla’s Instagram stories showed them fully geared up for the heavy snow. Additionally, the couple also took to ice-skating amidst the winter break in the snowy regions as Barla described the feeling as the ‘Best Feeling Ever’ in her story.

The two were also spotted dancing together and creating a short romantic video on the same vacation. Ocon and Barla took on the couple-dancing challenge to the song Snowman by Sia. Both of them hugged and kissed and danced to the romantic song in the chilly regions of their vacation destination.
Much like Barla, Ocon also took to Instagram and posted a story of the couple enjoying a hot beverage at the snow-laden location of their vacation. Notably, Barla is a medical student with a passion for dancing and modeling. The French won multiple awards for her beauty and fashion over her career and also the Miss Cannes in 2023.

Esteban Ocon’s contract is supposed to end by 2024
The Frenchman Esteban Ocon joined the French constructor of Alpine [then Renault] back in 2020. However, the driver’s contract is supposed to end by the 2024 season, and has currently not been offered an extension following the contract expiration. Hence, Ocon needs to perform well in order to achieve a contract expansion with the French team.

The two drivers for Alpine, Esteban Ocon and Pierre Gasly scored a pretty mediocre season this time around. Both the drivers had a very close call for the P11 finish in the constructor where Gasly finally emerged victorious over Ocon and outscored him by just 4 points in the championship standings. Gasly scored 62 points as compared to the 58 scored by the 27-year-old.
Alpine had a sub-standard pace in the 2023 season as the challenger wasn’t the best on the mid-field. The French team succumbed to a P6 finish in the constructor’s championship with a total of 120 points. However, as the team develops itself over the winter break, Ocon needs to train well and score better to have a chance in the team after the culmination of the 2024 season.
