Formula 1 drivers have a great sense of humor and are often seen referring to hilarious memes on multiple occasions. Hence, Esteban Ocon was not a stranger to this idea as the Frenchman recreates the viral Marvel Loki meme ahead of the 2024 season.
In the meme, Ocon taps the shoulders of Loki villain from Marvel‘s movie played by Tom Hiddleston. Subsequently, Loki turns back glances over at the person and looks away, and smiles. Hence, Ocon did the same and showed Loki something on his phone to recreate the viral meme. However, the exact details of what the 27-year-old showed Loki wasn’t revealed to the public.
Moreover, this wasn’t the only Marvel reference from Esteban Ocon in F1. The Frenchman was seen donning a special Spiderman-designed helmet for the American GP in Austin, Texas. Additionally, Ocon had also crafted a special Deadpool-themed helmet and clicked pictures with the Deadpool actor Ryan Reynolds at the Las Vegas GP.

Adding to the list of Marvel’s relevance with Formula 1, Deadpool’s actor Ryan Reynolds alongside other A-list Hollywood actors have invested heavily into the French constructor. The entire gig involved others such as Michael B. Jordan, Rob McElhenney, etc. The aforementioned celebrities invested approximately $217 Million in Alpine and increased the team’s valuation to a whopping $900 Million.
Then-Alpine CEO, Laurent Rossi had explained his happiness with the deal with Reynolds. The deal was imperative to enhance the team’s performance in the following seasons of Formula 1. Additionally, the deal would also help increase the popularity of the French constructor in other untouched areas of Hollywood.
Hence, the 2024 season would be highly exciting for Alpine as well as the fans due to multiple reasons. The French team would try their level best to fight in the mid-field and maximize results during race weekends. Esteban Ocon also just missed out on the victory over his teammate Pierre Gasly and hence would also attempt to outshine his teammate in the upcoming season of Formula 1.
