Daniel Ricciardo is one of the most popular drivers in Formula 1. The Australian driver surprisedly returned to the grid in 2023 after replacing Nyck de Vries at AlphaTauri. However, this return lasted for two races before Ricciardo was forced out of the cockpit due to injury. Now, the Honey Badger prepares for his return in a Red Bull F1 car before the US GP.
The Australian driver reunited with Red Bull this weekend for a show run in the United States. Daniel Ricciardo got the chance to get back into the cockpit of an old Red Bull car. The 34-year-old was delighted to be finally back behind the wheel. Moreover, Ricciardo embraced his inner American and wore a cowboy hat as he got inside the car.
The Honey Badger delivered an exciting spectacle for fans with the Red Bull. The 34-year-old did donuts before the crowd and filled the place with smoke. Daniel Ricciardo’s burnouts were met by cheers from the attendees, who were happy to see the Australian in an F1 car again. Perhaps the best way to prepare before making another comeback onto the grid.
Fans excited to see Daniel Ricciardo back in a Red Bull
Fans on Twitter were quick to share their views. One user was delighted to see Ricciardo bring out the cowboy inside of him as he got ready for the show run. The user commented, “Giddy up, Cowboy!” Another fan expressed excitement and looked forward to seeing the 34-year-old do some burnouts. The fan replied, “Time to burn some rubber.”
Moreover, one user claimed that next season, Daniel Ricciardo would be getting into the cockpit of the 2024 Red Bull F1 challenger rather than a show car. The user wrote, “Next year, this will be reality.” Similarly, another fan reckoned that Ricciardo was preparing himself to replace Sergio Perez at Milton Keynes. The fan said, “Getting ready for Checo to get sacked.”

Certainly, fans loved the sight of Daniel Ricciardo in a Red Bull. The 34-year-old has been linked to Perez’s seat for 2024 if the Mexican driver fails to achieve the team’s target. Nevertheless, Ricciardo would be focusing completely on the next race in Austin when he finally gets back to race for AlphaTauri after missing multiple races.
