The Qualifying session for the main race of the Saudi Arabian GP is underway. The Red Bull drivers are showcasing yet another dominant performance by topping the qualifying sessions. Hence, amidst this, during the Q2 session, Haas driver Nico Hulkenberg suffered a disappointing end to the Q2 session. The VF-24 for Hulkenberg incurred some major issues which led to the early exit of the driver.
The majority of the drivers were yet to get out on the track during the Q2 session when Hulkenberg’s VF24 caused a red flag during the session. Hence, the few drivers who were out on the track had to return to garages until the chassis was moved out of the track. However, Haas has yet to reveal the exact issues on the German driver’s challenger.

The driver immodestly shared his thoughts with his radio engineer soon after stopping at Turn 8. Hulkenberg mentioned some power issues and how the chassis just lost power. Hence, some major issues with the power unit might have caused the early exit for the driver. As a result, the driver would not have a lap time for the Q2 and would be eliminated from the second qualifying session without a fair shot.

Nico Hulkenberg set to have a tough race in Jeddah
The season opener Bahrain GP was disappointing for the American constructor in Formula 1. Kevin Magnussen and Nico Hulkenberg could only manage a mediocre P12 and P16 finish respectively. Hence, the team needs to desperately work on their form to score some points under their belts early on. Regardless, the Saudi Arabian GP might not be any different from the previous race for the Haas F1 team.

Nico Hulkenberg would start the race from P15 and Magnussen from P13. Hence, despite a great Q1 performance from both the drivers, they would have a tough start to the race. The two drivers would need to fight vigorously in the middle order to score some points down the race. Regardless, the team continues to work over the chassis’ issues and look ahead at tomorrow’s race.
The Saudi Arabian GP would be exciting for the fans due to multiple reasons. Haas would need to score a great comeback from the disappointing qualifying session. Additionally, Oliver Bearman‘s debut race would showcase great racing action in the middle order among the drivers on the grid.
