The winter break marks a great time for the drivers to let off some on-grid steam and take a good time away from the high-adrenaline races. Multiple drivers spend quality time with their families and partners. Now, Alpine’s Pierre Gasly and his girlfriend Francisca ‘Kika’ Gomes went on a biking trail trip.
A video showing the couple biking among the off-roads of an undisclosed location was revealed to the public amidst the winter break. The video depicts Pierre Gasly riding what appears to be a dirt bike on the sandy roads of the place. Gomes confirmed their dating status back in January with a photo dump on her Instagram.
Francisca was recording the two driving through the woody regions of the location romantically on a dirt bike. Gasly drove the off-roads as Gomes hugged the Frenchman from behind on the motorcycle. Both individuals have prioritized their safety, evident from the sight of the pillion wearing a riding helmet while seated on the bike.
The video was uploaded to Francisca Gomes’ Instagram, but the exact location of the getaway was not revealed to the public as the video in black and white is the only proof of their romantic dirt bike getaway. Fans are yet to receive further images and videos of the trip to cherish and enjoy alongside the couple.
Pierre Gasly believes that Alpine got closer to Aston Martin in 2023
Alpine had a mediocre season in 2023. The team scored a somewhat impressive P6 finish in the constructor’s championship after lacking behind Aston Martin for the entirety of the season. Gasly believed that amidst the P6 finish, the team had approached Silverstone in terms of pace and performance.
The Frenchman accepted that the team lacked energy, especially electric power but also the aerodynamic development from the squad. Although the team made some good improvements, the improvements fell short when compared to other teams like McLaren for example. Hence, Gasly accepted that despite the team getting close to Aston Martin, It wasn’t as much as they hoped for down the season.
Hence, Pierre Gasly has some time off the grid and away from the tracks to enjoy with his partner and family. As the teams come back from their much-deserved Christmas break after a long season of 22 races, Alpine engineers work continuously on improving the French constructor’s finish in the subsequent season of Formula 1.
