The F1 news pipeline has been abuzz with the discussions surrounding Ryan Reynolds buying a sizable stake at Alpine, the team which Pierre Gasly races for. And amidst all that, Pierre and his 20 year old girlfriend Kika Cerquira Gomes were recently spotted at a Coldplay concert together in Italy just ahead of the 2023 Austrian Grand Prix.The French driver was seen taking advantage of his break in between the races in Montreal and in Austria to spend some personal time with his ladylove.
According to some of the social media tidbits, Pierre and Kika were first seen soaking up the sun at an Italian beach. The 19-year-old model and the 27-year-old F1 driver spent the day in Sardinia, Italy, at the beach where they enjoyed the sun and the water while bathing in their undies. Then, the young couple also went to see a performance by the American band Coldplay in Milan, Italy. The two were spotted singing along with the lead vocalist Chris Martin as he belted out the tunes of their song “Yellow”.
Since the end of last year, the couple has been dating, and they frequently posted pictures of themselves online. In 2022, the F1 driver and Francisca “Kika” Cerqueira Gomes initially ignited relationship rumors with Gasly. Gomes was born in Portugal on January 20, 2003. She is the daughter of pure McLaren Drive Team racer Gonçalo Gomes and TV personality Maria Vieira de Campos Cerqueira Gomes. The 2022 Abu Dhabi Grand Prix and the 2023 Miami Grand Prix saw the Portuguese model in attendance as she went there to support Pierre Gasly.
Kika Cerquira and Pierre Gasly’s Italian getaway started with some PDA at a beach before the Coldplay concert
Pierre and Kika made their first official red carpet appearance at the Cannes Film Festival in May, and they also went to the Louis Vuitton fashion show after that. But owing to Pierre’s busy schedule, the couple were not seen together in the subsequent days until now as they took a vacation to the beach in Sardinia, Italy. Kika and Pierre have been taking advantage of their free time to enjoy their trip to the Mediterranean lands for the past week by having some experiences, including a stay on a sailing boat and meals at local restaurants.
The French driver was seen wearing pink swimming trunks and was hugging his partner during their time at the beach.This should provide Gasly a refreshing mood when he resumes racing this Friday in Austria. This comes at a time when Alpine sold off 24% stake for an external cash injection of $200 million. With the enormous buyout, it remains to be seen how Alpine improve their performance and match the scores that their investors must be expecting from the French squad.
