Hollywood actor Ryan Reynolds made the headlines in Formula One when he joined the investor group that bought a 24 per cent stake in the Alpine F1 team for a rumored amount of €200,000,000, as per The Hollywood Reporter. Ever since being renamed to Alpine from Renault in the 2021 season, the Enstone outfit has seen some major changes in their working structure. In fact, their Team Principal Otmar Szafneuer was also quite suddenly dropped from his role in early 2023 after spending 18 months in the team. And now, with Ryan’s investor group involved, there are some more changes to come in the French outfit for sure.
Right after the buyout, Reynolds appeared at the first-ever Las Vegas GP to cheer on his newly-acquired team and met with one of the Enstone outfit’s drivers Esteban Ocon. Ocon is himself a Frenchman and he has been with Alpine since his comeback into F1 in 2021. He was formerly paired with Fernando Alonso who left the team ahead of 2023 to take up Sebastian Vettel’s seat at Aston Martin. Now, Esteban Ocon and Pierre Gasly are the two racers who head Alpine’s F1 Championship campaign.
In a video shared by the Alpine team, when Ryan Reynolds met with Esteban Ocon, the 27-year-old driver gave him his Deadpool-themed helmet. Deadpool is one of Reynolds’ most famous film franchises, which is scheduled to get a third part in July 2024. But Reynolds turned up to meet with Esteban empty-handed and then thought of just the perfect gift. Then he jokingly took out a bracelet that his daughter had apparently gave to him. He presented that to Ocon who wondered why it said ‘daddy’ on the bracelet and Reynolds just said, “It’s a metaphor.”

Esteban Ocon has been dating Flavy Barla since late 2023 as the F1 fans spotted then posing together in public for the first time at the Abu Dhabi GP. Barla is a medicine externist and she also won the title of Miss Cote d’Azur in 2022.
The 20-year-old went to Venice and travelled in the Gondolas with Esteban Ocon during the F1 off-season break and they were snapped by the paparazzis. Esteban Ocon was previously dating French model Elena Berri till summer 2023.
Esteban and Elena had been one of the most fashionable couples in Formula 1 who were often spotted enjoying Paris Saint-Germain games and also attending the French Fashion Week runway events. But now, it appears that Esteban and Elena called it quits away from the public eye some time during the summer of 2023 and the Formula 1 racer is now with Flavy Barla.
