The Spanish Grand Prix saw the new version of the Aston Martin team looking more like a Red Bull inspired body, or else being called “Green Red Bull”. The accusation was sadi to be an IP transfer to the Aston team, which later was denied by the CEO of Red Bull. But the speculations still stayed the way is the recruitment of ex red bull members now a part of the Aston Martin team, including the former head of aerodynamics, Dan Fallows.

Helmut Marko ruled all the investigations going on to find a possible “Copygate”, and later mentioned his reasons to rule it out. “The current state of affairs is that we can’t prove anything specifically, We’re not pursuing it because we don’t see Aston Martin as a direct competitor for us. If you can’t prove it in black and white, you shouldn’t,” said the CEO.

Marko later also talked about the confirmation of Data Download that took part in the Red Bull factory a while ago, but later cleared it calling it a possible confusion. “I said data had been downloaded. But I didn’t say where it went.”

 He also called out the FIA regulations over this to take over the Alpha Tauri’s dynamics.“We would like clarity from the FIA ​​on how far you can go. Because we have a sister team, AlphaTauri, and if you interpret that consistently, the AlphaTauri should be more like the Red Bull.” said Helmut.

Andrew Green Cheif Technical Officer of the Aston Martin F1 team joined the conversation about copying the top team dynamics. This isn’t the first time the Aston Martin, then Racing Point copied the 2019 Mercedes in their 2020 car and ended up 4th in the Championship.

As of now Aston Martin isn’t competing with the likes of Red Bull and is 9th on the table making the design less of a concern for the Red Bull team.
