Charles Leclerc lost a probable home race after the ‘curse’ that prevented him to see the chequered turned out for the win this time. He finished P4 behind his championship competitor Max Verstappen, even after taking a fantastic pole on Saturday.

The leader was disappointed by the call of his pit wall teammates to come for slicks when he could have easily picked up the pace to overcut the Bulls and stayed in the lead. But rather was called early by the strategist for a double stack into slicks.

He was extremely pissed with the miscommunication of the group that later turned into a disappointing race, “We lost a lot of points today and it’s a shame. The disappointment is big,” Leclerc said.

The Monacan also revealed the strategy he thought he would go through but was rather surprised by the decision made, “We didn’t discuss it. They just called me in and from the car, you don’t have a clear picture, so I believed in that,” he explains.

Charles was dethroned from the top of the table after the Spanish Grand Prix by non-other than the regaining world champion Max Verstappen. Monaco could have been the payback for the Home town hero to take back his position if he would have managed to get himself on the top of the middle podium, but he significantly failed.

Ferrari on the other hand is now 34 points behind Red bull after Monaco, they have filled a probable protest on the Bulls for the pit exit, but things outside track didn’t go their way either. The next race in Baku could have both the teams on equal power and would mark the 8th round of the Championship.
