Mattia Binotto: “we will bring a rear wing designed for tracks that require efficiency”
Red Bull were the only team that brought upgrades to Imola and they proved successful. With the lead in Championship close enough to swing to the other Constructor, Mattia Binotto has claimed the team will focus on a Low to medium Downforce package in the inaugural Miami GP. The long straight of Miami seems to be favourable for the Ferrari as the team still seem to hold on to the advantage of having better straight-line speed than Red Bull.
Binotto said, “Since Miami is a higher speed circuit than any we’ve seen so far, we will bring a rear wing designed for tracks that require efficiency. We know that Red Bull will also have a good low/medium aerodynamic package and, therefore, will be competitive. We will fight on a new track where it will be nice to compete.”
Red Bull are just 9 points behind the leader Ferrari, in the Constructors championship. The 2022 Miami Grand Prix will be the first race in the city and will be an event worth watching. The race takes place on May 06-08.
