With the Mexican Grand Prix a few days away, here are some fun facts about it. The first person to win the Mexican Grand Prix was the great Jim Clark who won it in the year 1963 with the Lotus F1 team.

Clark is considered one of the greatest F1 drivers to have ever graced the sport. He was a two-time F1 World Champion having won the championship with the Lotus F1 team. He won his first championship in 1963 and his second championship in the year 1965. Clark won seven out of ten races in 1963 and this record was broken 25 years later by Ayrton Senna in the 1988 season when he won eight races in one season.

Clark is considered as one of the greatest drivers to have ever lived and graced the majestic sport of Formula One. He was adored by fans throughout the world and achieved legendary feats during the span of his career.

How do things stand ahead of the 2022 Mexican Grand Prix?

The Mexican Grand Prix is a few days away and the fans could not be more excited, despite the Drivers Championship and Constructors Championship having been already decided, courtesy, Max Verstappen and Red Bull respectively. However, the fight for second on the drivers’ standings has fans intrigued and they are interested to see who will claim that spot.

At the moment it seems like a four-way battle between Carlos Sainz, George Russell, Sergio Perez and Charles Leclerc. The latter seems to have quite a lead over the former drivers and currently, Charles Leclerc is second in the standings but the results could change with the last 3 races left on the calendar.

The fans are excited for the Mexican Grand Prix and can’t wait to see what it has in store for them. There are quite a few fans who would love to see Sergio Perez win his home Grand Prix.
