Albon has provided some great results for the British team during his time in Grove.  Williams Head of Vehicle Performance Dave Robson claims that the 27-year-old is the right fit for the team.

Albon performed beyond expectations at the British GP. The 27-year-old finished eighth on a track that seemed to be unfavorable for the Grove-based team. Alex Albon’s calmness is a major asset for Williams

Williams has struggled in F1 for the past few years. The Grove-based team has spent multiple seasons at the bottom of the standings. However, Dave Robson reckons that Albon’s energy has rejuvenated the team that is glad to see his confidence. He said, “I think his calmness is all rooted in his confidence and getting that out of the car. In a way, it spreads around the garage.”

The 27-year-old seems to be the right driver for the British team as it tries to rebuild itself under James Vowles‘ leadership. Albon has solidified himself as a talented driver who can indeed get a couple of points for Williams on a good day. As such, this has helped lift up spirits back at the team base in Grove while the British squad remains in the back of the grid.

Thus, Williams Head of Vehicle Performance Dave Robson reckons Alex Albon has certainly proven his worth to the British team. Robson praised the Thai driver for his calm composure in high-pressure situations that has yielded great results for the Grove-based team. As such, it seems that Albon is set to continue with the legendary team for the time to come.
