Formula 1 is witnessing a tight battle at the front of the grid. Four teams have won at least three races so far this season. McLaren and Red Bull seem to be in a fierce fight for the world title. However, former F1 world champion Nico Rosberg hinted that Ferrari can find itself in the mix soon.

The German claimed that the Scuderia was certainly not the favorites in the title battle. With McLaren being far ahead of the competition. Nico Rosberg pointed out that Ferrari’s hopes would depend on its upgrade package. The Italian GP had major upgrades which worked perfectly for the team.

With the form they have, they are not the favourites. McLaren, by far, are the favourites. It depends on this upgrade. The upgrade from Ferrari looked good but Monza is such an outlier track.

However, it remains to be seen if the Scuderia can extract the same performance in the remainder of the season. Ultimately, Rosberg reckoned that if Ferrari can continue to push itself, then the Italian team had an outside chance of winning the world title this season.

Is it going to look good at other places? We need to wait to have that answer -  if it is working so well, it will have an outsider’s shot at taking the constructors.

Nico Rosberg praises Fred Vasseur for Charles Leclerc’s Monza victory

Charles Leclerc pulled off a stunning drive in Monza. The Monegasque went long on a one-stop and managed to defeat the faster McLarens for victory. Nico Rosberg reckoned that the credit for this win should go to Fred Vasseur. As Vasseur follows his racing instincts and does not limit himself to data shown on screens.

That would certainly be Fred’s influence. Fred is a racer. He doesn’t need to follow what a computer is telling him, he goes by feel, and what he sees.
Nico Rosberg explained

Certainly, Ferrari is happy with its triumph at the Italian GP. However, the Scuderia needs to stay realistic over its title prospects. Charles Leclerc would be hoping to continue to fight at the front and get the best results possible for Maranello every race weekend.
