Ferrari had started the 2024 season off in an impressive manner compared to Red Bull. However, the Italian constructor lost out on major performance and has fallen down the pecking order. Scuderia will have to work desperately on their form to rejoin the battle for the championship. Ex-Mercedes driver Nico Rosberg has voiced concerns about Maranello’s failing performances.
Nico Rosberg believed such a situation was not good for Ferrari in Formula 1. Additionally, the German-Finnish claimed that Maranello’s upgrade package introduced bouncing in the chassis.

As a result, Rosberg pointed out that Ferrari didn’t really understand the root cause of the problems and further fell down the hole.
It’s not good, It’s got away from them a little bit because the upgrades introduced bouncing in high-speed corners, which is not the thing you want to have. They didn’t really understand why so they had to do a step back to understand, to then hopefully make progress again for the future.Nico Rosberg told Sky Sports F1
Charles Leclerc and Carlos Sainz individually scored race wins in the 2024 season despite the difficulties. However, after Leclerc’s win in Monaco, the team has been unable to amass great results. The upgrade package has failed to fetch any impressive performances for the Italian constructor.
Nico Rosberg hopes for Ferrari to ‘get closer’ to the rest of the pack down the 2024 season
Ferrari has continued to implement major upgrades to the chassis to improve performance. Hence, even Nico Rosberg hopes for the Fred Vasseur-led team to come closer to the pack. Additionally, Rosberg claimed that Ferrari shouldn’t ‘allow themselves’ to fall down the pecking order so much.
You cannot allow yourself to do that when someone like McLaren is just straight-lining the development curve at an amazing pace. And so that’s why now they find themselves where they are today, three, four or five-tenths behind. Let’s see if they can get closer.Nico Rosberg added

The 2024 season has bunched up a lot at the forefront between the top four or five teams. The competition hasn’t been any more cut-throat than this in the ground-effect era. As a result, the latter half of the season will witness all the teams trying to overcome one another in the development war.
