The Las Vegas GP is up in the 2025 season as it nears completion. The Las Vegas race will be the third and final American race this year, as it has received a lot of mixed opinions over the years. Despite criticism from the community, this race provides great racing action and drama. However, Haas rookie Oliver Bearman delivers his brutally honest opinion on the street circuit, claiming it to be the least enjoyable.
The inaugural Las Vegas GP race weekend was one of the most glamorous in the history of Formula 1. The sport also rented the multi-billion-dollar Las Vegas sphere, which provided an immersive experience for the drivers and fans. Moreover, the first race in Las Vegas helped Formula 1 earn a substantial amount of profits by visiting Sin City. Still, Oliver Bearman and many other drivers do not enjoy racing in the street circuit.
Oliver Bearman clearly claimed that riding around the Las Vegas circuit was one of the least enjoyable experiences for him. He reckoned that usually the circuits were fun to drive around, but the one in Sin City had drastically low grip. Bearman noted that the combination of a lack of grip and walls close to the track is not really a great combination.
This is the least enjoyable street track I’ve driven. Normally they’re really, really fun and great. This one is really, really low grip, which is not a great combination when you have the walls very close.
Oliver Bearman told Sky Sports F1.
Additionally, Oliver Bearman claimed that he had to run at incredibly high speeds, and it was dangerous even for him. Bearman did accept that running down the long Vegas strip is fun, but there isn’t much enjoyment apart from the glamor of racing around Sin City. Regardless, it will be interesting to witness how the race pans out, as it always delivers great racing action despite the doubts cast upon it.
It’s incredibly high speed, which is dangerous. I mean the track itself is cool to be racing down the Strip in Las Vegas, but aside from that there’s not much good stuff.

Oliver Bearman claims racing around the Las Vegas GP is ‘sketchy’
Following the culmination of two practice sessions at the Las Vegas GP, Oliver Bearman got real about his experience racing around the circuit. He raced around this circuit for the first time in his career and reckoned that he was aware of the challenge. Bearman noted that he was shocked by the lack of grip on the Las Vegas track.

Further, Oliver Bearman pointed out that racing around the circuit was sketchy for him. He could not find words to describe the mysterious lack of grip that he experienced during the first two practice sessions. Nonetheless, Bearman highlighted that the information that he gained on day one proved that track evolution would be high, which would reward drivers who are daring enough to go out on the track late during Qualifying sessions.
We knew, big track evo on a circuit like this, honestly those first few laps I did in FP1, of course it’s a new track for me, I was shocked by how low the grip was, It’s sketchy out there, I don’t even know how to describe the low level of grip that we experienced, but in turn that means that the evo is incredibly high.
Oliver Bearman noted.
The 2025 season is nearing completion and has just two races following the culmination of the Las Vegas GP. The season has been very enjoyable so far, and the upcoming races only promise better racing action. Oliver Bearman will definitely be among the drivers to watch in Las Vegas as he has remained one of the better rookies this year.
