The Azerbaijan GP was considered by many as one of the best weekends of the F1 season. With great wheel-to-wheel action by Oscar Piastri and Charles Leclerc at the front, the win was well-earned by the Aussie. Subsequently, as the paddock moves over to the next race in Singapore, Piastri claimed that he was ready to take on the street, despite the race being notoriously famous for taking a physical toll on drivers.

F1 drivers have often joked about how the race in Singapore is physically straining. Moreover, any mistake around the five-kilometer track could mean the end of the race for that driver as they often flirt with bordering concrete walls.

Oscar Piastri has emerged as a strong driver in the last few races by outscoring his rivals with a hefty margin and now awaits the challenge of the Marina Bay circuit. Despite the concerns raised by the paddock, the 23-year-old asserted that he was ready for the challenge in true racing spirits.

The Aussie reflected on how winning the race in Azerbaijan gave him a confidence boost. Moreover, with the next race being in the Southeast Asian nation, he claimed that he was ready for any challenges that would be thrown at him, despite the circuit being infamous for its demanding nature.

Oscar Piastri’s mother revealed her plans to attend subsequent races

Oscar Piastri’s mother, Nicole Piastri, was in attendance when her son won his second F1 race. Though Nicole has not been a famous figure owing to her not being present at many races, her presence in Baku sparked a debate about whether she would be spotted at subsequent F1 races before the end of the season.

Despite numerous speculations, Nicole Piastri insisted that she would not be attending any further races.

No, Oscar has three younger sisters and I have a life. And he doesn’t need Mummy following him around on all the circuits
Nicole Piastri said on the F1 Nation podcast

Oscar Piastri has taken the role of the team leader at Mclaren a few times this season. Thus, a power struggle might occur in the team in the next few rounds if the Aussie goes on to win a few more races while his teammate Lando Norris fails to make his mark.
