“Fuc***g shit!” Pierre Gasly fumes on team radio over Alpine’s Esteban Ocon bias after FP3 drama at Emilia-Romagna GP
Pierre Gasly and Esteban Ocon have a well known reputation for not being the best of friends in F1.

The latter part of FP3 at the Emilia Romagna Grand Prix witnessed major chaos as both Fernando Alonso and Sergio Perez brought out red flags. One visibly upset driver was Pierre Gasly, he missed out on a shot at a hot lap after the green flag.
Alpine’s performance woes have gone from bad to worse this season, with the Enstone-based team having scored only one point after six races. But this week at Imola, Pierre Gasly seemed completely out of wits as he complained relentlessly after FP3 about the bias in the Alpine F1 team toward Esteban Ocon.
Gasly’s conversation with his radio engineer went like this.
Gasly: That’s fuc***g shit, guys. Very badly managed. I don’t understand. Why! We are always the same in this situation.
Engineer: Everyone bunched up there, nobody got a lap.
Gasly: Yeah, except Esteban. I thought I had priority this weekend.

Pierre Gasly complained on the radio at the end of FP3, appearing very dissatisfied with the team’s management. The Frenchman accused the team of favoring his teammate, Esteban Ocon after the running order for a late restart was given. Gasly has not been on the podium since the 2023 Dutch Grand Prix and has been especially struggling against his in-form teammate this year.
Esteban Ocon charts a time good enough for P8 in Imola FP3
While Pierre Gasly was furious with Alpine for how things panned out during the closing stages of FP3, Ocon charted P8 at the end of the session. It comes as an encouraging result given that Alpine has been massively underperforming this season.
Ocon managed a point at the Miami Grand Prix and Gasly was yet again left frustrated as the former passed him during the closing stages to finish P10. Moreover, during the ongoing Imola weekend, with only two minutes to go until the chequered flag in FP3, Ocon was released before Gasly to set the hot lap, as indicated earlier.
This situation now leads to a scenario of visible distress amongst the Alpine drivers. Keeping everything in view, it will be fascinating to see how things will pan out between Galsy and Ocon during the rest of the Emilia-Romagna GP weekend.
