The race for the 2024 Champions League is heating up nicely with the tournament currently at its quarter-final stage. Seeing the advanced level of the tournament, various sporting celebrities were seen at the matches cheering for their favorite teams.
During the recent PSG vs Barcelona game, Alpine Star, Pierre Gasly was spotted at the Parc des Princes stadium alongside his girlfriend, Kiki Cerqueira Gomes, and footballing legend, Ronaldinho. The two mega-starts were in high spirits throughout the game.
Ronaldinho really does not need any introduction having the kind of accolades he amassed during his footballing career. One interesting fact about the Brazilian is that during his career, he played for both PSG and Barcelona as their star attacker!
On the other hand, Gasly is also an ardent supporter of PSG. He has been spotted at the Parc des Princes several times rooting for the lights of France captain, Kylian Mbappe. Gasly has also recently invested in a football team.
Pierre Gasly claims Alpine’s A524 is not ‘living up to expectations’
While Pierre Gasly had a great time enjoying the recent PSG vs Barcelona match, his on-track story during the ongoing 2024 F1 season has been a disappointing one. After four rounds, the Frenchman is yet to score a point.
Alpine introduced a new car concept ahead of the ongoing season, but to the surprise of many, the A524 has so far proved downright horrendous!
I think in the mid-term we need a big thing to improve this car now, this sort of car concept doesn't live up to what we expected.Pierre Gasly said in an interview with Racingnews365
During the Japanese GP, Gasly and his teammate, Esteban Ocon, were seen racing toward the extreme south end of the grid. The A524 was nowhere in comparison to teams like Haas, VCARB, Williams, and also to some extent, Kick Sauber.
Next up on the F1 calendar is the Chinese GP. The event will be run under a Sprint format but keeping in view the lackluster performance of the A524, it is highly unlikely that Gasly and Ocon would be able to score any points.
