Sauber has started to put forth major changes to the team to prepare for Audi’s arrival by 2026. The German carmaker has already decided on one of their drivers and also the team leader. Hence, as the team powers through the 2024 season, Sauber’s Alessandro Alunni Bravi has highlighted the reasons behind Mattia Binotto‘s acquisition.

Mattia Binotto‘s arrival as the team’s leader is a statement of intent. The current leaders Andreas Seidl and Oliver Hoffmann will exit the project by the coming season. Hence, Binotto’s entry must put forth amazing results after the Italian’s poor campaign with Ferrari.

Sauber will currently have to continue working hard in the 2024 season to score some points. The major reshuffle in the crew could put forth interesting situations for the team. Regardless, Audi’s entry could enable the team to make a great name in the mid-order of the teams on the grid.
