Sergio Perez breaks silence on Helmut Marko’s comments on deciding the Mexican’s future after Belgian GP

Sergio Perez had been facing some difficult times in F1 since the Miami GP. Perez since the last six races has managed to only finish as high as Seventh position. There are speculations about the Mexican that the Belgian GP might be his last run with Red Bull. However, Checo is optimistic that his future with Red Bull is safe.
Sergio Perez in a recent interview expressed that he isn’t worried about the comments about his future made by his team advisor Dr. Helmut Marko. He mentioned that he hadn’t discussed his future with Marko. Checo acknowledged that this was how things worked within the team. Currently, he is focused on doing his best with the team and the car for the upcoming race at Spa.The Mexican reckoned that any talks about his future were just speculations which didn’t affect his performance or approach to racing.

Perez mentioned he is not worried about the speculations regarding his future. He knew where he stood with the team and wasn’t focused on anything else. Checo emphasized that his main concern is to get his performance back on track and improve much more than before. He mentioned that other issues and what people think about his future didn’t bother him. For now, Perez is calm and relaxed about everything and is focused on racing and how he could do better.
I am not worried about it. I know where I stand. That’s not my concern. My only concern I have is to get my season back on track. The rest I am pretty chilled about.Sergio Perez added.
Sergio Perez believes Red Bull trusts his abilities
Sergio Perez acknowledged that he clearly understands the details of his contracts and believes that the team trusts him. He mentioned that currently the main priority for him is to perform well in races. Checo believed that as long as he focuses on doing his best on the track, he is fulfilling his role and meeting the team’s expectations. The Mexican is confident about his situation because he is clear about what’s expected of him and is concentrating on his performance rather than focusing on other aspects.

Perez explained that the team is putting in a lot of effort to help him improve and get the season back on track. He highlighted that their main goal is to win the Constructors’ Championship, and that’s what everyone is focused on. There haven’t been any additional talks or discussions about anything else. Checo’s priority is solely on improving performance and achieving their main objective, which is winning the championship.

Certainly, Perez believes the team trusts him and he can do his best to perform at his best. The team is currently focused on building Checo’s car and winning the constructors championship is their ultimate goal.
