Red Bull Racing driver, Sergio Perez claims that he is more relaxed after the settlement of his contract negotiations. Perez recently signed an extension with the Milton-Keynes-based team, which keeps him with them until the end of 2026.

Sergio Perez has not been at his very best this season and has failed to score points in the last two races. However, despite many rumors, the 34-year-old Mexican earned a contract extension, putting the alleged interests of other drivers to bed.

Perez exclaimed that the contract negotiations and talks were proving to be a distraction to the Mexican and he could now focus solely on performing well for Red Bull. The six-time race winner has scored four podiums this season but stands fifth in the driver’s championship.

I think like every negotiation, you always have a process to go through, which is not always really nice to do it in between the races where everything is flat out. So it's really nice to get this distraction for the team and for myself out of the way so that we can focus on pure performance. And I think that's the best thing for our team.

Sergio Perez now faces a situation wherein he has to be compelled to perform well in order to justify his contract. However, the Mexican driver failed to deliver during the previous race in Montreal, due to which he has pressure on him heading into the upcoming Spanish Grand Prix weekend.

I wanted to share with you information about my development and further performances in Formula 3 this season. In recent weeks, the contract with Red Bull's junior program was terminated at the initiative of the partner. Until the end of the cooperation, my starts, functioning in the team and the progress I made were positively assessed by all people working directly with me.

Kacper Szutka managed to score only six points across four rounds, with his best finish coming in at P5 during the sprint at Imola. However, despite his poor performances, Sztuka has been sponsored by long-time Robert Kubica backer, PKN Orlen and has been signed to the Akademii Orlen line-up.

Red Bull will now continue in the F3 championship with Arvid Lindblad, who was signed in 2021, as well as Tim Tramnitz and Oliver Goethe, who joined the Milton-Keynes outfit in 2023. The three talented drivers will now look to perform to the best of their abilities in hopes of scoring proper points for the team in the championship.
