The geopolitics changed as a whole after USA’s takeover of Venezuela. In a special operation, Venezuelan President Nicolas Maduro and his wife, Cilia Flores were taken into custody by the US military, following the order from president Donald Trump. He was extradited to the sates and is set to be prosecuted at New York for Narco-Terrorism charges.

Former Red Bull driver Sergio Perez, who is set to make F1 return in the 2026 season with Cadillac F1 shared his thoughts on the massive political shift at the Latin American state. In a story shared on Instagram, the veteran racer sends him warm and heartfelt embrace to the Venezuelan’s and offered his prayers to them.

Venezuelan brothers and sisters, I send you a warm, heartfelt embrace. You are an example that faith is never lost!! My prayers are with all of you!! Free Venezuela.

His story also featured two love heart emojis, which were silver and red, respectively. The drama over the military action has also caused tension back in the veteran racer’s home country Mexico. Red Bull chief engineer Paul Monaghan recently shared his thoughts on the challenges and opportunities ahead of Sergio Perez on his F1 comeback with Cadillac F1 team in 2026, with Valtteri Bottas as his teammate. He finished with us struggling a little bit to keep up with his teammate. Perhaps a year off, a bit of sunshine, reset the brain, and he’ll come back — and he’ll be fighting fit and fairly quick, I feel.

Paul Monaghan said.

Aston Martin sporting director Andy Stevenson, a former colleague of Sergio Perez also shared his thoughts on the Mexican racer. He admitted being a big Checo fan and sees the 2026 return as big relaunch of the veteran’s career. Stevenson is looking forward for a strong comeback, like many in the community.

I’m a huge fan of Checo, and I’d love to see him relaunch his career. He is a fantastic talent, he’s a great race driver, and I think it would be great to see him back on the circuit again. So, I’m looking forward to that.

Andy Stevenson added.

The comments from the veteran Formula One team officials seems rational and on point regarding the veteran. He is coming back with the pressure of proving himself on the shoulders. It would be interesting see how the second chapter of Sergio Paerz’s career in going to playout.
