Ralf Schumacher had claimed that Sergio Perez was already axed from Red Bull amidst the ongoing season. Antonio Perez had also recently highlighted that his son was to complete his contract with the team. However, Perez Sr. noted Schumacher’s claims and took a jibe at the latter’s recent coming out of the closet.
Antonio Perez recalled that Schumacher initially claimed that Perez was out of Red Bull before coming out as gay to the world. Hence, Perez Sr. made an offensive mark that maybe the German was ‘in love’ with the 34-year-old and made such elicit claims. Moreover, the 65-year-old highlighted that Schumacher’s sexuality was ‘unknown’ and questioned whether the latter was a man or a woman.
Antonio Perez claimed he wasn’t as rich as Lawrence Stroll to ‘buy his son a Formula 1 seat’
Lawrence Stroll‘s ownership of Aston Martin has allowed the businessman to reserve a seat for his son Lance Stroll. Amidst the rumors of Sergio Perez’s sacking and Antonio Perez’s hand in the matter, the latter said another controversial thing. Perez Sr. pointed out that he wasn’t Mr. Stroll and had the money to buy his son an F1 seat. Hence, this meant that the 34-year-old was in the sport based on his merits.
Sergio Perez only has three more races to prove himself in terms of racing mettle. The 34-year-old can be replaced by multiple other highly deserving candidates for the seat. Perez’s contract might be useless if he fails to amass any impressive results. Moreover, Christian Horner has already started eyeing Franco Colapinto and Liam Lawson for a seat at Milton Keynes.
