Formula 1 prepares for the highly anticipated 2025 season as multiple teams and drivers look hopeful of championship contention. The sport will also aim to reduce the issues between the FIA and the drivers. Despite the massive preparations for the coming season, F1 CEO Stefano Domenicali was spotted enjoying a special dinner in the UK.

Formula 1 has continued to expand its domain in recent years, especially with the increased American involvement. Due to this, Stefano Domenicali was also invited to the highly coveted Anglo-Italian dinner. King Charles and Queen Camilla hosted the event at the private residence of Mr Charles in Gloucestershire, called the Highgrove.

The event was hosted to celebrate the growing and improving ties between the UK and Italy. According to reports, apart from Domenicali, notable figures like actor Stanley Tucci and Ex-Footballer David Beckham were also present at the event. The CEO’s presence indicates just how much Formula 1 has grown in recent years and continues to grow.

Netflix aiming to gain broadcast rights to Formula 1 in the United States

Netflix has already established its position in the world of Formula 1 after creating the mega-famous docuseries Drive To Survive. Moreover, the pinnacle of motorsport is actively looking to expand within the United States due to the massive available market. Hence, according to reports, the American giant is also aiming to gain broadcasting rights to the sport.

The current rights holder ESPN would be replaced by Netflix as early as 2026 if the bid is successfully passed. Also, ESPN has passed the deadline to land a contract extension for the broadcasting rights. This means that Netflix is highly likely to gain the new deal. The American streaming giant will also release the seventh edition of Drive To Survive on 7th March.

The coming years will be extremely exciting for Formula 1 as a whole due to the massive changes in order. The omnipresent American market will propel the sport’s popularity multiplefolds and bring in massive investments. Hence, time will tell about how these changes pan out for the sport as change isn’t always necessarily good.
