Charles Leclerc was infamous for his struggles at his home race in Monaco. The Monegasque driver had only completed the race twice in his career before this weekend. Moreover, the 26-year-old had faced terrible luck in the streets of Monte Carlo. Now, Leclerc has finally put an end to this streak as he emerged victorious in front of the home fans.
Leclerc is the first ever Monegasque to win the Monaco GP despite the long history of the iconic race. The Ferrari star was ecstatic after crossing the chequered flag in P1. Monaco GP victory ‘means a lot’ to local hero Charles Leclerc
Charles Leclerc had waited to win his home race ever since his F1 debut in 2018. The 26-year-old even took pole position in 2021. However, a mechanical failure forced the Monegasque out of contention even before the start of the race. Nevertheless, Leclerc’s friends and family continued to support him every race.
