Formula 1 is back with a bang in Barcelona as the first pre-season testing was carried out today by the respective constructors. Fans have missed the ‘it’s lights out and away we go’ ever since the final light went out in the Abu Dhabi GP wherein Max Verstappen triumphed over 7-time world champion, Lewis Hamilton. Ever since the end, fans have been anticipating the new season to start since there is the adoption of new regulations which is supposed to change things drastically.
The new regulations are slated to come with bigger 18-inch tyres, changes to the fuel compounds and also drastic changes in the aerodynamics. Even though we won’t be able to gauge the real performance of the cars in this particular practice session since most of the constructors would either be sandbagging the performance or setting up the car to perfection.
This does not preclude the fact that these practice sessions point towards the reliability of the newly made cars. For instance, the current Big 3 of Formula 1, Red Bull, Ferrari and Mercedes managed to rack up the highest number of laps. Max Verstappen had a busy day on track since he managed to clock the highest number of laps and Charles Leclerc was the fastest overall.
Other teams especially, Alfa Romeo and Haas, clearly had reliability issues. Fans were elated with the fact that they would be able to see their beloved drivers in the scheduled press conferences.

It is never a dull day for the journalists especially when they have Daniel Riccardo scheduled for an F1 press conference. Daniel Riccardo, Lewis Hamilton and Sergio Perez engaged in a hilarious conversation. Daniel Riccardo spoke about how he has a good skincare routine after the camera zoomed in to excess on his face. Lewis also contributed by saying that his skin pores are probably visible.
Once the cameraman zoomed out, Hamilton made a snide remark saying that his sponsors imprinted on the T-Shirt are not visible since the camera is extremely zoomed out. The trio continued this hilarious conversation for a while and gave the fans a peek at what is to come in the future with regard to these funny press conferences.
