Formula 1 is the pinnacle of motorsport. Celebrities from around the world were spotted at this weekend Miami GP including the likes of Kendall Jenner and Camila Cabello. However, many fans were eagerly waiting to see perhaps the most popular couple on the internet, Pop icon Taylor Swift and her boyfriend Travis Kelce. Unfortunately, it seems that Swift decided to ditch the race at the last moment.

NFL star Travis Kelce was in attendance for the Grand Prix. The American was present at the Alpine garage, the team he co-owns alongside personalities such as Ryan Reynolds and Michael B. Jordan. Kelce was seeing wearing a green co-ord set with sunglasses and an Alpine cap. The 34-year-old was proud to boast the Alpine logo on the cap in a clip which surfaced on X.

However, it was surprising to see Taylor Swift not come alongside her boyfriend for the Miami GP. Previously, reports stated that the endearing couple would visit the race before the European leg of The Era’s Tour kicked off. As such, it seems that the pop icon made some last minute changes to her schedule.

Travis Kelce here to support struggling Alpine F1 team

Travis Kelce was part of the investment group which acquired a 24% take in the Alpine F1 team last year. Kelce’s teammate Patrick Mahomes was also part of this consortium. It is thus no surprise that despite Alpine’s disappointing start to the 2024 season, the NFL star was present to cheer for Pierre Gasly and Esteban Ocon.

Kelce was escorted to the Alpine motorhome while media tried to capture the 34-year-old as he entered the paddock without Taylor Swift. Nevertheless, Travis Kelce seemed delighted to see F1 host another race in Miami around the Miami Dolphins‘ Hard Rock cafe.

Certainly, Travis Kelce hopes to see Alpine score a good result in Miami. The French team would potentially try to grab a points finish in the Grand Prix. However, it would be an uphill task as the Enstone-based squad would likely struggle to make a mark from the back of the grid.
