The current two drivers in the Haas F1 team Kevin Magnussen and Nico Hulkenberg might be working well with each other right now. However, the two drivers did not share the best bond on the track. This was evident by their angry spat with each other at the Hungarian GP in 2017.
The two drivers were part of a racing incident back in the Hungarian GP of 2017. With just nine laps remaining in the race, Hulkenberg attempted to pass the Danish driver. As the 36-year-old had fresher tires during the race. However, Magnussen did not let the Renault driver pass through and attempted a risky move to not let him through.

The maneuver from Magnussen pushed Hulkenberg off the track and ran him too wide through turn 2. This was not the only issue Hulkenberg faced from this maneuver. As the German had to subsequently retire from the race due to issues in the vehicle. This aggravated the German driver as he lashed out at Kevin Magnussen during his interview.
In the interview, Hulkenberg intervened between K-mag’s speech and sarcastically congratulated him. The Renault driver even called him the most ‘unsporting driver on the grid’. This in turn also angered the Dane and caused him to give an unprecedented reaction. Magnussen replied in an angry tone and told him ‘Suck my b**ls, honey,’ in an attempt to have a comeback at the angered German driver.

The two drivers are now working together as teammates
Everything has worked out in the end. Despite the angered reaction from each other towards each other was unprecedented, the drivers on the F1 grid run very high on adrenaline during races and need to vent out their frustrations during the race. Although the spat might seem extreme at first, F1 is a gentleman’s game and hence all worked out fine in the end.

The two drivers are now working with each other as the two drivers in the Haas racing team and are now fine. Even though both the drivers might not have had the most impressive performance in 2023, Hulkenberg outshone his teammate Magnussen by just six points, as Magnussen finished P19 as compared to Hulkenberg’s P16 finish for the Haas F1 team.
Despite a downgrading performance from the Haas F1 team, the team is still working day in and day out in an attempt to revive any sort of winning chances for the team. In addition to this, Hulkenberg is widely regarded as the driver with the most number of races without a podium finish ever in the history of Formula 1.
