Zak Brown had continued to actively comment on the happenings at the Red Bull GmbH amidst the power struggles. The McLaren CEO had first actively spoken over Red Bull’s budget infringement in the 2021 season. Since then, Brown continued to comment on the team and started attracting problems with the boss Christian Horner.

Recently, Zak Brown spoke about the power struggle at Red Bull and noted that a lot of people from the team applied for a job at McLaren. Christian Horner shared his piece of mind over this matter and made the McLaren CEO sound incorrect. As a result, Brown noted that he didn’t have any personal grudges with the Red Bull boss. Additionally, the Briton noted that he spoke up when things were wrong as he was a ‘spokesperson’ for the problems.

Anything personal with him? No, I answer the things that I think are not right. I am a spokesman for the problems.
Zak Brown said, as reported by independent.co.uk.

However, Brown did accept the fact that he seemed to have ‘more problems’ with Horner than any other team boss on the grid. The main reason for this was that the 50-year-old said and did things that Englishman believed were ‘wrong’. Subsequently, the 52-year-old recalled the budget infringement fiasco and how Horner portrayed the McLaren CEO in a negative light.

And yes, it seems that I have more problems with him than with others, but because he says and does things that I think are wrong. For example, when we talked about the budget cap infringement, we weren't competing with them, but there was talk of the integrity of the F1 system. They didn't take it seriously and that's why I exposed myself.
Zak Brown noted.

Zak Brown claims Red Bull should’ve ‘accepted’ the situation rather than ‘bringing excuses’

Red Bull faced a major penalty after exceeding the budget in the subsequent season. However, Horner had tried to manipulate the situation and tipped it in Milton Keynes’ favor. Upon this, Brown believed that the Red Bull boss should’ve just accepted the situation.

The American recalled that the 50-year-old brought out a lot of excuses and ‘insulted’ the remainder of the people in the sport.

When they pulled over the roof, they should have just accepted it. Instead they brought out a lot of excuses, almost insulting the rest of us, because if you say it's the fault of the sandwiches, I too must make my team eat like everyone else. They tried to minimize.
Zak Brown added.

Milton Keynes has attempted to stick to rules since then and hasn’t been a part of any major controversies. Red Bull’s current focus is on the 2024 season and how to improve its challenger in terms of performance. Apart from this, Brown will have to work over his grudges and try to make peace with Christian Horner.
