LeBron James, a four-time NBA champion, will represent Team USA as the male flag bearer at the July 26 Olympic opening ceremony in Paris. The American team made the announcement, stealing all the headlines in American sports. The 39-year-old two-time Olympic gold winner will be playing in his fourth Olympic basketball competition, but his first since 2012.

This news has caught a lot of attention from the NBA community, garnering loads of praise for one of the current best basketball players in the nation. In addition, another great, Stephen Curry announced James as Team USA’s flag bearer.

I think LeBron's entire career, on and off the court, speaks for itself as him being worthy of that honor.

Also, James took time to appreciate this historic moment in his career for his nation.

Not only this, one fan also labeled James as the “face of American sports.” The fan wrote on X, “Those face of the NBA debates are so silly lol this dude is the face of American sports.”

As much as James would appreciate this historic moment in the history of the USA, his sole focus would be to win the 2024 Paris Olympics with his nation. It’s important to note that, James hinted previously that this would be the “last Olympic tournament” of his career. Therefore, he will be looking to end his career on a high note.

LeBron James aka “The King” has been named the flag bearer of Team USA for the upcoming 2024 Paris Olympics. As per Brian Windhorst, James is the first male basketball player to receive this honor in U.S. history and was voted on by his fellow Olympians. In regards to this news, USA fans sent out their flowers to James and his recent feat.
