Jey Uso has been a mainstay of WWE shows lately. With WWE currently on a tour of the UK, Uso has been regularly defending his title on these shows. However, during a recent house show in Cardiff, a hilarious incident took place that stole the spotlight from ‘Main Event’ Jey.
The rising star Bron Breakker was competing against Uso for the Intercontinental Championship. However, during the match, The Dawg of WWE had a hilarious oversell to a superkick that got the fans rolling in aisles. Breakker’s amusing antics even caught Jey smiling and laughing in the ring.
Moreover, it was during the closing sequence of the match, as ‘Main Event’ Jey went on to hit the spear on Breakker to secure the win. Nonetheless, it was quite a different showing of the 26-year-old in comparison to his character on WWE TV. In fact, there have been only a couple of occasions where the latter has even smiled on Raw.

Such incidents make the WWE house shows even more entertaining. Due to the fact that these shows are untelevised, it does not affect the current storylines. As such, WWE stars have the freedom to entertain fans in any way they please. However, it would be interesting to see how Breakker is going to comprehend his character on Raw following his rise in WWE.
Rikishi opens up on Jey Uso winning his first singles title in WWE
Jey Uso captured the Intercontinental Title after defeating Bron Breakker a few weeks ago on Raw. It was a huge moment for Jey, as it was his first ever singles title in his 14-year-long career. Recently, his father, Rikishi, opened up about his son’s biggest win.

Speaking on Off The Top podcast, the WWE Hall of Famer said it was a proud moment for him and his family. He added that it was a well-deserved, much-anticipated victory for ‘Main Event’ Jey after dominating the tag team division for 14 years. Rikishi also said that it feels unbelievable to see how much progress his son has made with his character since breaking up with The Bloodline.
I am so proud. That was a long road. What is it? 15 years or 14 years? You dominate the tag team division and then you finally break off into [singles] competition, not knowing which way it’s gonna go. But you see it — the fan favorite.

Moreover, the 59-year-old was one of the few people who was actively pushing Jey’s name for a singles title win. Now that the latter has finally achieved the feat, he can celebrate this win alongside his fans. Uso even gave an emotional speech following his title win, where he thanked his parents and well-wishers.
