This week, AEW presented one of the most brutal matches of the year. The special ‘Blood and Guts’ match between Team AEW and Team Elite was an all-timer that drew crazy reactions. During the gruesome bout, a fan in the live audience suffered a hellacious bump.
A video that has gone viral on the internet shows a fan’s view of the brawl outside of the rings. Jack Perry and Darby Allin were at the ringside, setting up for a smash into the barricades. However, they accidentally bumped into the wife of the fan watching from the crowd. Although it didn’t cause any major injuries, the lady fell on the floor, leading to a major reaction at ringside.
From unprotected chairshots to Darby Allin jumping off the cage, the bout was filled with captivating spots. In fact, Swerve Strickland and Adam Page had their iconic staredown that blew the roof off the arena. In a tough battle, The Elite failed to assert their dominance as Team AEW picked up the win after a brutal war.
Moreover, things have gotten pretty interesting in AEW as of now. With just a month left for All In, the fans are more excited than ever. All Elite Wrestling has been doing well in the past few months, and it looks like Tony Khan has major plans for the promotion going forward as he spoke about having an event with WWE.
The ending of Blood and Guts match confirms one match for All In
The stakes for All In are set as the ending of Blood and Guts has sealed the deal on a marquee match for the event. In the closing sequence of the battle, Darby Allin threatened Jack Perry to either quit or he would set him on fire. This was the ending where Matthew Jackson quit on behalf of Perry and earned his freedom from Allin.
It confirmed the match for the AEW TNT Championship between the Scapegoat and Allin at Wembley Stadium. Prior to the match, it was announced that if Perry quit against Darby, then the latter would get a TNT Championship match at the event in London.
With such high animosity between the two stars, the match will certainly be spectacular and a must-see for fans. Other matches announced for the show include Bryan Danielson vs. Swerve Strickland for the AEW Championship and Toni Storm vs. Mariah May for the Women’s Championship.
