In a rather unpleasant encounter, a fan brazenly walked up to Tottenham forward Timo Werner to question him about how he misses open goals. The 28-year-old German forward was dining with his family and friends at the time.

Timo Werner joined Tottenham in January on a loan from Bundesliga club RB Leipzig, set to last until the end of the 2023-24 season. However, he managed just two goals in 13 appearances, further tarnishing his troubled EPL career. His previous two-year stint with Chelsea was also underwhelming. Despite the criticism, the club extended the forward’s loan for another year, which includes a buyout clause.

Unaware of the man’s true intentions, the German forward greeted him politely, but the man then insultingly questioned him about his goal-scoring abilities and his misses. Visibly upset at the questions, Werner chose to ignore the provocation.

The German forward was in attendance at Plymouth’s 4-0 defeat, as he traveled 200 miles away from London. Werner’s unexpected appearance sparked curiosity. However, the reason for his attendance was to support his father-in-law Sascha Lense, who is also the performance manager of Sheffield Wednesday.

Sheffield’s 4-0 victory brought disappointment to Plymouth manager Wayne Rooney, who was criticized by fans for losing his first competitive game in-charge of the club.
