As LeBron James continues to create history in his 23rd season in the league, basketball fans are getting enough proof that “the King” is not done and could go on for a year or two.
After initially having doubts about his health, especially with sciatica and then arthritis, the Los Angeles Lakers superstar has proved that he can choose to either sacrifice his personal legacy for the team.
Or, come up clutch when they need his scoring, defense, and out-of-this-world understanding of the game. James has been doing whatever he can despite being the third-best option on the world’s most famous basketball team.
As he continues to play, there are many who debate as to which version of LeBron James was the most dominant. It seems those questions have found their way to the Akron native himself.
If you ask me what I feel like was my best season that I had, that I felt the most complete as a basketball player? I would say 2017-18 season, I felt I could do no wrong out there on the basketball floor… I felt no flaws in my game.
LeBron James said on Mind the Game Podcast
The superstar reiterated that he was head and shoulders above anyone, as not only was his scoring average near the top, but his rebounds per game and assists, along with his defense, made him unstoppable.
During that 2017-18 season, @KingJames could do no wrong.

On top of that, he played over 100 games that season, leading his Cleveland Cavaliers by example after Kyrie Irving departed for the Boston Celtics.
Fans agree with LeBron James on best-ever season
When fans look at LeBron James’ career, the first campaigns they think of that defined the superstar’s legacy were when he led the Miami Heat to the 2012 title, and then when he returned to lead the Cavaliers to their first-ever championship.
However, when looking at how he led the 2017-18 team, playing that many games, and while playing the most minutes of anyone in the league, has led them to agree with the 4-time champion. Check out examples of those reactions below:
2018 Bron was different, but that 2013 Miami run is right there too. Prime king in two eras.

Cause although he wasn’t the athlete he was in 2004-2013, he was 98% of that plus a way higher IQ and was like a mad scientist on the court lol
That year, to me, is the greatest peak of any basketball player in the history of the NBA. LeBron was King Kong that year.

LeBron James did not win the league MVP award, nor did his heroics avoid the eventual sweep by the Golden State Warriors. But despite that, he believes that year was his best.
LeBron James praises Austin Reaves amid career year
If LeBron James believes he was at his best during his last year with the Cleveland Cavaliers, he is also a believer in the fact that his understudy, Austin Reaves, is having the campaign of his life.

Understanding that his role is going to continue to pick up… Understanding he’s not just one of the guys, he’s one of the guy… He wants that responsibility… He plays golf, and he plays basketball.
LeBron James said
The 4-time league MVP believes the undrafted guard has proven to both his coaches and his teammates that he can step up and become one of the most important players on the team.
All Austin Reaves cares about is basketball and golf, and @KingJames couldn’t respect it more.

That has enabled him to rack up numbers that are close to what James managed in his fifth season. Considering how he has helped Reaves to develop, the 40-year-old was happy to see his teammate grow.
