UFC star Belal Muhammad has gained a lot of respect from fans for his work in the octagon and his beliefs. But one particular fan seems to need to humiliate the fighter unnecessarily.
Belal Muhammad has risen through the ranks in the welterweight division in the UFC. Belal has proven his worth against many of the top fighters, resulting in him being ranked No.3 in the division. Belal has also earned the respect of fans and pros alike with his sincerity and approach toward life and the octagon. But this kindness seemed to have backfired in recent times.
Belal Muhammad was on the Q&A session for the recently heard UFC 291. During the session, one of the fans in the crowd entertained himself by asking condescending questions to Belal and creating scope for disrespect. This same fan has recently tried to demean the fighter again at another UFC 291 event. The fighter was taking pictures for the media next to a championship belt on display. The fan made it seem like he wanted to take a photo with Belal while approaching the fighter near the belt.
But to everyone’s surprise, the fan demanded Belal to move aside to take pictures with the belt. Although the act seems innocent, the fan’s intentions are evident, considering his previous actions with the same fighter.

Twitter fans have exploded by being unhappy with the fan who disrespected Belal Muhammad. The unnecessary provocation of a sincere fighter like Belal will only encourage further disrespect for the MMA community. Other professional fighters like Ben Askren tweeted in support, “Belal shoulda slapped him and told him to get out.”
The fans have stood up for a respectable fighter in need. Such synergy goes a long way for the entire industry against trolls like the one in this incident. Let’s hope this doesn’t deter Belal Muhammad from his confidence or game.
